Sectional times for horse races?

Question

Is there any intention/ ambition to get section times included in the data set ? To gain further insight into horse speed .

We'd love to obtain that data but won't be possible for some time - at the moment it's only partially collected for some tracks (the ATR tracks - for the RMG tracks it's totally unreliable), and licensing arrangements will not currently enable us to provide it in Smartform.

However, we're keeping an eye on this as it develops.
