Race Types - Historic vs. Daily Races

I feel like I should have spotted this before but I have only ever used the daily races for this field since this is what is in the race card. I noticed there are more Race Types in the historic_races than what are in the daily_races table.

I was wondering if there is a way of matching up the race/track types in the daily_races with the historic_races?

I have never bothered modelling the types individually but when I use the Race Type from the historic_races table it shows that I haven't done very well on All Weather Flat so I want to try and get to the bottom of it.

Is there a specific reason why this Rce Type is separate from the Flat races?

No particular reason - the variations are down to the different feeds received for results and racecards;  we will however be homogenising these types in the beta version before going live.
