What books do you recommend to learn Perl?

I'm a total novice to Perl.  To follow and adapt the example code in Automatic Exchange Betting, what are the best books to read?

The books recommended in the Appendix to Automatic Exchange Betting are probably the best place to start.

If you were able to read only one book, the classic O'Reilly introduction "Learning Perl" is best, IMO.
