Using mariaDB in place of mySQL

Hi,

My operating system is Linux Debian 13, so have to use mariaDB in place of mySQL. Has anyone had experience of using Smartform data with this set up? Is it a suitable replacement?

Hi - yes we've tested Smartform install with MariaDB before on Raspberry Pi and it works fine.  See: https://www.betwise.co.uk/smartform/raspberry-pi-beta

You can also install MySQL on Debian if you add the official MySQL APT repo.

I've decided to install mySQL using the APT repo as you suggested - I want to keep as close to installation recommendations as possible!
