Anyone working on a PERL library for Betfair API-NG?

I recently found some Perl code for the Betfair API-NG at https://github.com/betfair/API-NG-sample-code/tree/master/perl

However my question is really whether the BetfairAPI6 library file in Automatic Exchange Betting could be replaced by a new file that would allow the rest of the Perl example files to run on the new Betfair API, otherwise from November none of the example scripts will work.
